Supergiant Games has announced another Hades II update - the game's third hotfix following April's Post-Launch Patch 2 - and it is rolling out to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch players soon. The patch arrives approximately six weeks after the major April 14 update that also marked the game's launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
What's in the June 2026 Hotfix
The update is primarily a bug-fixing pass, but its scope is substantial. PCGamesN reports the patch notes run to 64 lines of changes, covering Dream Dives, boss behavior, boon interactions, and quality-of-life adjustments.
Dream Dives Fixes
The recently introduced Dream Dives mode receives the most targeted attention. Hermes will now deliver any outstanding Shrine of Hermes items before the final Encounter - matching the behavior already present in standard runs. The patch also resolves cases where the Jeweled Pom keepsake could hand Melinoรซ duplicate Boons of Hades, and fixes Quick Buck (Hermes) sometimes failing to pay out gold rewards in the mode.
Boss and Enemy Behavior
Several unintended difficulty spikes in boss encounters are corrected. A bug that let Chronos attack more frequently than intended in the Unrivaled Typhon fight is resolved, as is a case where the Snow Queen (Demeter) barrier could vanish mid-fight. Guardians could previously gain an unintended speed boost after recovering from Freeze or Gust - that is also fixed. On the enemy side, foes in Oceanus were sometimes attacking earlier than expected, and creatures in Tartarus could wander out of bounds entirely.
Notably, one fix works against the player: the Black Coat can no longer completely negate one of Chronos's uninterruptible attacks, which Supergiant has corrected as an unintended interaction.

Boon and Weapon Interactions
A long list of specific interaction bugs is addressed, including:
| Fix | Affected System |
|---|---|
| Nitro Boost (Hermes) not affecting Sprint with Black Coat | Weapon / Boon |
| Sorceress (Arcana) + Sudden Flurry (Daedalus - Blades) | Arcana / Daedalus |
| Glorious Disaster (Zeus/Apollo) + Explosive Intent (Icarus) | Multi-god Boon |
| Heinous Affront (Zeus/Ares) + Light Smite (Apollo) | Multi-god Boon |
| Flood Gain (Poseidon) + Mirrored Thrasher (Daedalus - Staff) | Daedalus / Boon |
| Soulfilled Ankh (Daedalus - Aspect of Anubis) area not scaling | Daedalus / Aspect |
| Mental Block (Athena) blocking aim-Casts like Glowing Coal | Boon interaction |
Selene's kit receives several specific corrections too: Wolf Howl could place Melinoรซ out of bounds in the final Encounter on the surface, Retaliation for Night Bloom was not triggering properly, and Twilight Curse projectiles were incorrectly fizzling on contact with Nemesis rather than passing through her.
Quality-of-Life and Visual Improvements
On the smaller-detail side, Hermes now delivers Shrine items before the final Encounter in Dream Dives, an inventory hint for Mystery Seeds has been added to indicate where they can be planted, the Path of Stars screen now gives clearer visual feedback when picking upgrades, and Apollo's Prominence Flare description has been clarified. A death animation has also been added for the Hellifish enemy in Oceanus - a curious omission now remedied.
The patch also repairs a number of crashes and fixes visual artifacts across multiple locations.
Context: A Well-Supported 1.0
Hades II launched to critical acclaim on September 25, 2025 for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, followed by PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on April 14, 2026. Post-Launch Patch 2 - released on that same April date - was a significant content drop that added narrated Prophecy conclusion scenes, the Forever Gifting system, and sweeping Ares boon reworks. This June hotfix is the third follow-up to that patch, continuing Supergiant's steady cadence of post-launch support.
The game is available now across all platforms. Switch 2 and Switch players should watch the eShop for the update notification.
