SOS Ops!, the chaotic co-op action game from developer ArtDock, has been pulled from the PlayStation Store without any public explanation - a puzzling move given the title's apparent commercial health and its continued availability on other platforms.
What happened
SOS Ops! was launched on PS5 in December 2024, roughly a year after its original PC debut in 2023. PS5 players noticed that the game and its DLC were completely scrubbed from the PS Store shortly after GOG announced that SOS Ops! would be leaving that platform on July 1. Whether the PS Store delisting is directly connected to the GOG removal is not yet clear.
GOG team member Noeira_ announced that four ArtDock entries would be leaving the platform on July 1st, including the GUNS N' OPS DLC for SOS Ops! Alongside Last Hope Bunker: Zombie Survival and the SOS Ops! base game, those titles were discounted -90% on GOG ahead of the removal date.
The game is still selling well
Timing makes the PS Store removal even more unusual. ArtDock announced on Steam just a day before the story broke that SOS Ops! has now sold over 800,000 copies. In a Steam post marking the milestone, ArtDock reflected on the game's journey, writing: "When we started making SOS Ops!, we never imagined that one day hundreds of thousands of players around the world would be completing missions, creating chaos, saving each other, falling, making mistakes, laughing, and coming back again."
The game remains available for purchase on Steam and Xbox, and a Nintendo Switch version launched in January 2025, with the Xbox Series X|S version arriving in August 2025.

No shutdown, no statement
There is no indication that SOS Ops! has been shut down. ArtDock has not issued a public statement explaining the PS Store removal as of this writing. The studio's continued Steam activity - milestone posts, recent updates, and active community engagement - suggests the game is not winding down.
The most plausible reading is that a licensing or distribution agreement with PlayStation expired or lapsed around the same time the GOG contract ended, triggering a quiet removal. That scenario would make a reinstatement possible once paperwork is resolved. For PS5 players who already own the game, existing library access should be unaffected - but anyone looking to buy a new copy on PlayStation is out of luck for now.
