Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have removed Dead or Alive 6 from Steam as a direct precursor to the launch of Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, the definitive re-release arriving on June 25, 2026. The publisher announced the game would be pulled at 10am JST on June 11, 2026 - equivalent to 6pm PT / 9pm ET on June 10, 2026.
All three PC editions listed on Steam have now been removed: the free Core Fighters version, the $59.99 base game, and the $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition - along with all 461 pieces of associated DLC.
What Is Dead or Alive 6 Last Round?
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round was announced on February 12, 2026, during a State of Play presentation by producer Yosuke Hayashi. The announcement trailer confirmed an improved photo mode, the addition of five previously-released DLC characters to the base game, and the June 25, 2026 release date.
The game is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam. It is digital-only across all platforms.
The updated release includes the original roster of 24 fighters plus five additional characters from the game's DLC lineup: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki. Guest characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond are not included in the base package.

Editions and Pricing at a Glance
| Edition | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| DOA6 Base (delisted) | $59.99 | Base game |
| DOA6 Deluxe (delisted) | $79.99 | Base + DLC bundle |
| Last Round | $39.99 | Base + 5 DLC characters + Story/Character Unlock Keys + BGM Set |
| Last Round Core Fighters | Free | 4 characters at launch |
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is priced at $39.99 and includes a Character Unlock Key, a Story Unlock Key, and the Vacation to Paradise BGM Set - formerly a paid add-on. The free-to-play version, Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters, launches on the same day.
DLC Transfer: What Carries Over and What Doesn't
Existing Dead or Alive 6 owners face a mixed picture when moving to Last Round. The game allows players to carry over DLC costumes, premium tickets, and save data from the standard edition. However, costumes for collaboration characters - including Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond - will not transfer, nor will character and story unlock keys.
Koei Tecmo confirmed there are no plans to offer any discount or upgrade path for existing owners of the original release.
A New Dead or Alive in Development
Alongside the Last Round announcement, Koei Tecmo confirmed that development has begun on the next new game in the Dead or Alive franchise. Additional content updates for Last Round itself are also planned post-launch, including new costumes and characters for both the standard and free versions over the coming year.
What This Means for PC Players
The delisting ends the original Steam version's roughly seven-year run - Dead or Alive 6 first launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in March 2019. Anyone who already owns the game retains access to it in their library, but new purchases are no longer possible. For players who haven't yet picked it up, Last Round at $39.99 is now the only entry point on PC - and at that price it is technically a better value than the old base game, since five formerly-paid DLC fighters are bundled in from day one.
