Good Smile Company and Freeing have opened pre-orders for a new large-scale Chiaki Nanami bunny girl figure based on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The statue joins the series of extra-large Danganronpa figures, standing at roughly two feet tall and priced at 77,000 yen (approximately $476). Pre-orders are open until August 26, 2026, with the figure set to ship in January 2027.
Scale, Design, and What You Get
The figure measures 595mm tall - just over 23 inches. That puts it in the same 1/3-scale tier as the recently announced Junko Enoshima bunny figure from the same line. Chiaki is dressed in a black one-piece with a hooded top bearing bunny ears and pink eyes. She wears long, oversized black fingerless gloves and is posed holding the hood's ears, with the hoodie ties, high heels, and bunny tail all done in pink. Fabric fishnet tights complete the look.
There are no extra face plates or alternate arm parts included, so the single pose is the only option.
This new statue is notably larger than Freeing's earlier Chiaki Nanami figures. Freeing has released several Danganronpa bunny girl figures over the years, including earlier versions of Junko Enoshima, Celestia Ludenberg, Chiaki Nanami, Kaede Akamatsu, and Kyoko Kirigiri - though those were 1/4-scale, making them somewhat smaller.
Part of a Growing 1/3-Scale Line
The new Chiaki figure follows similar oversized releases featuring Kaede Akamatsu and Kyoko Kirigiri. The companion Junko Enoshima entry in the same 1/3-scale bunny line is set to debut in February 2027, with its own pre-order window running through Good Smile Company until July 22, 2026.

Chiaki Is Also Starring in Danganronpa 2x2
The timing of the figure announcement lines up with renewed interest in the character. Danganronpa 2x2 is an upcoming visual novel developed by Gemdrops in collaboration with Too Kyo Games and Spike Chunsoft, serving as a retelling of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair that features both an enhanced remake of the original story and a brand-new separate scenario. The game is scheduled for release in North America and Europe in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
