Sid Meier's Ace Patrol Reviews & Ratings

The game unfortunately lacks any longevity that other games with the Sid Meier moniker are renown for. If you're a Sid Meier fan though and see this on sale, it might be worth a look.
At first, all the mechanics work. The game principle is catching, and it's romantic to fly with the warplanes of the First World War. Nevertheless, the PC game port looks epicene and inappropriate. Its biggest mistakes like repeating of the situations, imbalanced missions, and too much focus on maximize of your score follow its mobile origin. A turn-based strategy game by Sid Meier must be entertaining at any moment. Ace Patrol fails to satisfy this.

I have played through as the British and Americans now and the campaigns were exactly the same. Would be nice if there were more varied types of missions. Otherwise the graphics are decent, UI is easy to use, and is a buy rating from me.
We look forward to seeing how this little strategic game will influence the Firaxis' main series. In the meantime we are going to enjoy this little gem.
