Astragon Entertainment and developer Aesir Interactive have officially brought Police Simulator: Patrol Officers to the Nintendo Switch 2, with the title going live on the Nintendo eShop on June 4, 2026.

A port built for the new hardware

The Nintendo Switch 2 version has been specifically optimized for the new console and already includes the full gameplay experience in the base version, featuring numerous updates from the PC and console releases. That means players jumping in on Switch 2 for the first time are not picking up a bare-bones port - they get the benefit of years of post-launch content that originally rolled out on PC and other platforms.

The game first released in early access on Steam on June 17, 2021, and fully launched on November 10, 2022. It also arrived on the original Nintendo Switch in October 2024. The Switch 2 release now brings the sim to Nintendo's latest hardware with performance improvements that the older Switch could not deliver.

Patrol Brighton from rookie to veteran

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is set in the open world of Brighton, a fictional American city loosely based on Boston and Suffolk County, in the fictional U.S. state of Franklin. Players take on the role of police officers and begin their career on patrol duty, starting with tasks such as issuing parking tickets and gradually unlocking more responsibilities as they gain experience - from patrolling in police vehicles and pursuing traffic offenders to handling accidents and tracking down suspects, with more complex cases including stopping drug deals and investigating serious crimes as their career progresses.

The game offers a simulation mode for experienced players looking for the most authentic experience, as well as a casual mode for those looking for a more relaxing patrol in the streets of Brighton. A cooperative multiplayer mode for up to two players is also included.
