Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have released a new trailer for Blue Reflection Quartet alongside the opening of digital pre-orders across all platforms. The collection launches July 30, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are now live on the eShop, PlayStation Store, and Steam at $49.99.
What's in the Collection
Blue Reflection Quartet brings together every major entry in the series into a single package, including the original Blue Reflection, Blue Reflection: Second Light, a story scenario covering the events of the 24-episode anime Blue Reflection: Ray, and - for the first time outside of mobile and PC - Blue Reflection: Sun.
| Entry | Original Format | Year | What's New in Quartet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue Reflection | PS4/PC | 2017 | HD texture upgrade, faster movement, autosave |
| Blue Reflection: Ray | TV anime | 2021 | Re-edited into playable story with 3D models |
| Blue Reflection: Second Light | PS4/Switch/PC | 2021 | 8 new playable characters from Ray and Sun |
| Blue Reflection: Sun | Mobile/PC | 2023 | Console debut, rebuilt with Second Light's battle system |
The original game gets high-res textures for characters and environments, faster movement, and an autosave function. Blue Reflection: Ray has been re-edited into a playable experience, with key characters receiving 3D models, and players collect memory fragments scattered around the Other World to gradually unlock the anime's narrative. Koei Tecmo notes that the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are separate products, and save data cannot be transferred between them.

Blue Reflection: Sun's Console Debut
For the first time, players will be able to experience the story of Blue Reflection: Sun on console, with revitalised combat using the battle system from Blue Reflection: Second Light. DMM Games originally launched Blue Reflection: Sun for smartphone and PC in February 2023, and the game ended service in May 2024. Its story is presented through 24 character events, with battles rebuilt using the system from Second Light, and the game takes place between Ray and Second Light, following a group of girls fighting in a world affected by Ash.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Photo Mode Frames
Players who digitally pre-order Blue Reflection Quartet before July 29, 2026 will receive a special bonus pack featuring four unique photo frames, which can be used within the photo mode of Blue Reflection: Second Light. These frames include designs featuring ballet shoes with blue curtains, yellow flowers, a black bear with polka dot pattern, and a summer vacation chalkboard doodle.
A separate free limited-time "Special Photo Frame - Quartet" is also available for all buyers, valid until August 12, 2026. The digital pre-order frames are exclusive to eShop, PlayStation Store, and Steam purchases and are distinct from the limited-time offer.
Series Reference Database and New Content
The collection also includes a reference database allowing players to deepen their understanding of the Blue Reflection universe, including flowcharts of events in chronological order, character relationship charts, and series correlation charts. The gallery section features past artwork for the series as well as 20 entirely new pieces of art by series character designer and supervisor Mel Kishida.
New convenience features such as increased battle speed, faster movement speed while exploring, and event fast-forwarding have been included across the collection.
The collection will feature Japanese voices with English text only - no English dub is included. The release will be digital-only in the West, though physical PS5 and Switch editions are planned for Japan.
